I recently started a little photography project to capture things from a different angle. What I noticed is that “looking down” lets you see a lot of things you otherwise miss. We are typically busy scanning the area around us to see what’s happening so we don’t look at what is right at our feet.

I’m not saying that I found a lot of “spectacular” things looking down (ok, I met Bruce that way), but still, there’s a lot of beauty in simple and “abstract” stuff like the stairs behind your house or the crosswalk around the corner, …

The pictures in this post have all been taken by pointing the camera straight down towards the ground. Take a look and maybe you’ll also discover some of the (hidden) beauty beneath us.
